Our Philosophy

Why did we build Counsel Club?

I didn’t build Counsel Club because I thought the world needed another legal startup.

I built it because I’ve spent the last decade watching freelancers, founders, and creative studios hit legal walls they couldn’t afford to solve, contracts they didn’t understand, risks they didn’t see coming, or lawyers they didn’t want to email because the clock was always running.

I’ve been the lawyer on the other side of those emails. I’ve billed those hours. I’ve also always wanted to build something different - a legal platform that doesn’t just give you templates, but actually gives you the information and tools on so you can learn how to use them.

We’re not trying to replace law firms. But we are giving small businesses and creators legal leverage they’ve never had before, through intelligent tools, personalized workflows, and language that speaks like a human to them.

We’re building slowly, with care. We’re not chasing hockey-stick growth or fundraising headlines. We’re chasing clarity, confidence, and calm, for people who are tired of crossing their fingers every time they send a contract to their lawyer with the subject line URGENT!
